Newborn Photos
Kelly contacted me about shooting newborn photos for her second born baby girl! Of course, my answer was immediately, yes! Newborn Photography is among my favorites, and I always find time to squeeze it into my schedule!
Consequently, I take great care in planning for each newborn session. Sometimes, I get lost in the planning and easily spend an hour or more just setting up for the session. Clients choose color schemes, and I stylize the shoot. Parents can bring their own props to add their personal touches for their session.
A sibling photo was very important for Kelly and most parents! Therefore, I always try to incorporate it into each session. This part can be tricky because safety is of utmost importance. Big sister did an amazing job of being perfectly still, but Kelly was right beside them just in case! I would have to say that Big Sister is pretty proud!
Kelly’s second born child is a rainbow baby. Kelly lost her baby at 20.5 weeks (sharing only with Kelly’s permission). After losing two of my babies to miscarriages, I have a real heart for moms who have experienced loss. I think this is why I am so passionate about newborn photography and capturing the memories you want for your session.
Anytime a family wants to incorporate the things that matter into their session, I always make it happen! Kelly brought this mini flag and dress blues, and she really wanted this shot to honor her husband’s time in the Airforce.
Finally, prop photos are my favorite part of the newborn sessions. Every time I go into an antique store, I am always hunting own new containers to try! Overall, Baby H is just the sweetest! She is such a doll and a perfect miracle in every way!
